Spike for a Cause 2010

The City of Raleigh Parks & Recreation Department, and the Wake County Volleyball Club sponsored the 5th annual charity volleyball tournament to benefit Striving for More.

 

The Event took place August 2010 at Jaycee Park in Raleigh and consisted of teams of 4 players on both grass and sand.   Last year, more than 60 teams registered to play. They hope to exceed that total this year to make it the most successful event ever.

Last Year, the 5th Annual Spike for a Cause event was a huge success. More than $5700 was raised and the tons of new supporters learned about our organization. It was exciting to have an opportunity to meet a lot of new people who had never heard about the organization and answer a ton of great questions that they had about kids with cancer. Great big thanks to Vaughn and Kathryn Hastings for such a wonderful event.
