New Spaces

I know it has been a long time since I have blogged and I apologize. My plan is to start blogging more regularly, even if my message is only short and sweet. (For those of you who know me, do you think that is possible?)

2009 was a great year for Striving for More. It was a year for foundation building. An amazing group of people joined our Leadership Team and has guided me through building this business. Yes, unfortunately, non-profits are businesses and there is a lot of red tape that needed to be accomplished in order to build the foundation.

The good news is, that I believe that we have finished most of the boring work and are now able to move onto the fun things. Raising awareness, planning events, raising money and helping children with cancer and their families!

I am very proud to announce that we have a great new website. I wanted to have a website that would portray the same level of quality that the children that we serve deserve in all of the care they receive. I found an amazing Creative Director, Adam Cohen and he believed in my vision and the mission of Striving for More. He works hard to help me. I am not sure I will ever be able to express my gratitude. He recruited Art Director, Jonathan Wisely and the Web Development talent at New Media Campaigns and together, they created our incredible new website. If you have not seen it yet, please take a moment to look through it. I hope that it will serve families well when they are looking for childhood cancer support resources.

In addition to our new space on the web, I am also proud to announce that Striving for More now has a physical office. Porticos, a product-development company serving high-tech clients in RTP and around the country is generously donating the use of furnished office space to Striving for More. The office is located in The Copeland Oak Office Park in Morrisville, NC, which is a great location in that it is centrally located in the Triangle.

I look forward to continued dialog with you.  If there is something specific that you would like me to write about, please tweet me at @Striving4More or post a note on our Facebook Fanpage. I am a social being and I want to hear from you!

With Hope,

Diane
